Find out moreHave you been using your logged-in area of the Catch Up® website? Well, if you haven’t, you might be surprised to find out what’s there! And this term, we are adding even more to make it even easier for you to deliver and manage the interventions, and to enhance your work helping struggling learners.
What’s the logged-in area?
When you attended your training, you should have been sent an email to set up your own login to the Catch Up® website, creating a username (your email address) and password of your choosing. If you haven’t done that, or have forgotten how to get in, simply visit the website and use the forgotten password link to get in, or email us.
What’s there?
The logged-in area contains details of your training and is where you fill in evaluations during your course, but it also has all of the Catch Up® resources you will need to use when delivering the sessions, such as the progress booklets. It’s also where you can access the Catch Up® Literacy online booklist, to help you level reading books, and the Catch Up® Numeracy bank of activities for use in sessions.
For the person managing the interventions in your school, there is a set of ready-to-use management proformas to help with introducing and monitoring Catch Up®.
What’s new?
This term, we are adding even more tools to support our Catch Up Coordinators and deliverers to embed the interventions and enhance practice. Here’s what’s there so far:
1. Catch Up® Management Resources – 10 new training videos for Catch Up® Coordinators
Catch Up® Coordinators can go online now to access the Management Resources videos. These videos are based on our 10-point Coordinator action plan and take you through how to introduce, support and monitor the interventions in your school using the management proformas and tools available through the Catch Up® website.
2. Classroom liaison sheet
The classroom liaison sheet is designed as a tool to help bridge the gap for the learner between the Catch Up® sessions and classroom work. It can be used to aid discussions and planning between the deliverer and the class/subject teacher or SEND department and/or SENCo.
Remember, all of this additional support is free, included in the Training and Support package you have already paid for, so it’s there for you to make the most of!
What’s coming next?
Within the next few weeks, we will enable you to book additional training sessions at your closest Regional Training Centre, including Review and Refresh sessions for deliverers or Coordinators, Coordinator network meetings, and in-depth workshops for deliverers. Look out after half-term for the brand new Progress Reporting Tool…more on that coming soon.
We are really excited about the new resources and we hope you will like them and find them useful. Catch Up® Director, Julie Lawes, said of the new support “We want to make it as easy as possible for schools to deliver and manage the interventions effectively, so they are being enabled to make a real difference for their struggling learners. These new management training videos are about giving Coordinators additional support to successfully introduce and monitor the interventions, and making sure they utilise the proformas available to them, to not only save them time but also to give them the best chance of embedding successful, effective intervention in their school. We look forward to launching our additional training courses next, to offer more training opportunities for deliverers and Coordinators, and chances to refresh practice and learn from each other. This is something our schools have often asked for in the past and now, with our Regional Training Centres in place, we’re in a position to be able to offer these sessions there – we can’t wait!”
