Find out moreWe are very sorry to let you know that, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Catch Up® Literacy Digital Games are no longer available, with immediate effect.
Unfortunately, a series of IT issues has affected the games, as they were built on a platform that is now both old and outdated. There is simply not the technical support available for the games to continue to function.
We have, of course, looked at the possibility of updating (or even completely remaking) the games, but the costs for this are prohibitive. As you will know, Catch Up® is an independent, not-for-profit charity, which means that we have very restricted funds.
We share your disappointment at this news, as we know that the games have been enjoyed for many years by large numbers of learners, and that you – as staff supporting those learners – have found the games to be a really useful tool to complement the core Catch Up® Literacy individual sessions.
On a more positive note, we are pleased to say that the Catch Up® Numeracy Digital Games are not affected by these issues, as these games are much more recent additions to our support package.
Catch Up® is the working name of The Caxton Trust, a not-for-profit charity registered in England and Wales (1072425) and Scotland (SC047557) as well as a company limited by guarantee (03476510). Catch Up is a registered trademark.
