Find out moreBack in October 2020, we announced that Catch Up® had been awarded funding to explore the potential of our interventions in an Early Years setting.
The ‘Catch Up® Early Years Project’ is taking place over three years, and with project Year 1 fast coming to a close, we are now recruiting schools for project Year 2!
For project Year 2, we are looking to recruit up to 6 schools from Tower Hamlets and 6 schools from Islington, with 3 schools from each borough working with literacy/reading and 3 with numeracy/maths.
Participating in the Catch Up® Early Years Project will involve 3 designated staff being trained to deliver Catch Up® Literacy or Catch Up® Numeracy, then each school supporting 6 Reception-age pupils.
The costs of the training will be paid for by the project and the training will take place over 3 days in late September 2021. Schools will need to commit trained staff to providing at least 2 x 15-minute support sessions, per week, for each of the 6 pupils. This is a minimum of 3 hours of staff time per week to support the pupils, plus some preparation and follow-up time. There will also be some research feedback required.
In order to register your school’s interest and get further details, including training dates, please click the Survey Monkey link and complete the required information.
