The Mercers’ Company awarded Catch Up® a grant to develop our interventions for use in the Reception class.
The Mercer’s Company is a livery company focused on being a philanthropic force for good. Each year their aim is to distribute £10 million to charitable causes. Their giving is focused on Young People & Education, Older People & Housing and Church & Communities.

What Works for Children's Social Care (WWCSC)

WWCSC (Now Foundations, What Works Centre for Children and Families) funded an evaluation of the Catch Up® Literacy intervention being delivered in the home by foster carers/kinship carers, to support the reading outcomes of the children in their care. The intervention was offered to children in Years 5 and 6, in England.
WWCSC seeks better outcomes for children, young people and families by bringing the best available evidence to practitioners and other decision makers across the children’s social care sector.

The Charles Dunstone Charitable Trust has funded the development of Catch Up® communication and marketing activities. The Charity is a grant-making Trust applying funds to charitable causes at the Trustees' discretion.

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) has provided grants to fund research into Catch Up® Literacy and Catch Up® Numeracy. The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent grant-making charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement, ensuring that children from all backgrounds can fulfil their potential and make the most of their talents.

The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation (EFF) has awarded grants to support the development of Catch Up® Numeracy and Catch Up® Numeracy Digital Games. Esmée Fairbairn Foundation (EFF) aims to improve the quality of life for people and communities throughout the UK both now and in the future. It does this by funding the charitable work of organisations with the ideas and ability to achieve positive change.

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF)

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) provided a grant to research the effectiveness of Catch Up® Literacy in supporting Gypsy, Roma and Traveller families, and provided consultancy support as part of a pilot they ran in partnership with NCVO with a focus on the capacity-building and scaling-up of charities. The Paul Hamlyn Foundation mission is ‘to help people to realise their potential and enjoy a better quality of life, now and in the future'.

The Social Business Trust (SBT) is providing consultancy support, focused on sales and marketing optimisation & strategy and the development of management information. In addition, they are funding external consultancy and research to scope and design a ‘Coordinator’s toolkit’. SBT is a charity backed by world-class businesses, providing funds and high-calibre professional support for outstanding UK social enterprises to scale-up their impact.

Welsh in Education Unit (WEU)

The Welsh in Education Unit (WEU), [Department for Education and Skills (DfES), Welsh Government] has provided grant funding for the development of Welsh language versions of Catch Up® Digital Games. The Welsh in Education Unit (WEU) administers the funding to provide support at regional and local level for the implementation of the Welsh Government’s Welsh-medium Education Strategy and for the creation of Welsh-medium resources.
