Working with Uni Connect partnerships

Inspiring choices
Our standard Catch Up® Literacy and Catch Up® Numeracy training is also available to be booked by Uni Connect partnerships to support their outreach work to local schools.

To date, we have been pleased to work with Inspiring Choices (York and North Yorkshire) and the Kent and Medway Collaborative Outreach Programme.

Both partnerships researched interventions to use in their work with local schools, and we were delighted to collaborate with them to provide the Catch Up® Literacy and Catch Up® Numeracy interventions respectively.

We worked with each partnership to train staff and students in how to set-up, deliver and manage the chosen intervention. The trained members then delivered the intervention to pupils in local schools.

The Inspiring Choices Outreach and Partnerships Manager, Penny Garner, has provided us with the following feedback:

‘I am delighted to be working with Catch Up who have delivered all our training to our own staff, staff and students in our partner organisations and our university Widening Participation team. They are responsive and pro-active, and their excellent training and resources have enabled us to deliver our Raising Attainment programme successfully in three different schools.’
